The New Mandarinate School offers public education in the humanities and social sciences. Lecture III in our 10-part lecture series is entitled Self, Text & World. The lecture focuses on how the study and interpretation of texts (hermeneutics), epistemology and discourse ethics can help us understand the world and ourselves in troubling times. Open to all interested adults. Lecture booklets will be available for sale on the night and food and refreshments will be provided.
